The Captain
Stephen Mann has been on boats since he was twelve years old. Witty, intelligent and stubborn as a mule he has molded decades of experience into a career as a professional captain and rigger. He carries a 500 ton Ocean’s Master with a towing endorsement, which has put him aboard countless sailboats, motor vessels, tugboats and tall ships.
What he wants you to know is that he’s available for you. He can deliver your boat. He can teach you sailing. He has almost 20 years of experience as a professional rigger coupled with practical experience with everything from engines to marine plumbing to 12 volt systems and marine electronics.
True he’s leaving in October to swoop around the world but the trip is meant to find completion in 8 months, which has him back in his home waters of Southern California in June. Don’t hesitate to contact him if you’re looking for a Captain come next summer.
